I signed up for a unit in January, and I must say, Tameka and Tabitha made the entire process a breeze. They were extremely helpful, answering all of my questions and addressing any concerns I had prior to booking. Their responsiveness has been outstanding, which is so important in customer service. Each time I've visited the property, it has been clean and well-maintained, which gives me peace of mind. I initially reserved my unit for four months, but I’m now considering extending my lease longer due to my positive experience. The property is safe, clean, and affordable, and I’m very satisfied with my choice at this location. I’ll be sure to update my review in six months or once I reach the end of my lease. Highly recommend!

OMG I’d have to say that this is not what I expected when renting a storage space. Just moved to GA from NYC and purchased a bunch of furniture. Well we wasn’t able to close on our new home due to unforeseen last minute issues. Nonetheless we had no home to put our newly purchased furniture. The kind associated (Tameka) at the extra space storage made the transition of storing our furniture a breeze. She was very understanding, professional and most of all helpful. Fast forward a month and we have now closed on our home ?? and all the new furniture looks amazing. I guess it goes without saying that we’ll be inviting Tameka to the house warming. All jokes aside if ever in need of a storage facility in the Metro Atlanta area consider the extra space storage at 381 veterans marmoreal hwy in Atlanta GA.

# Visits: 5, # Visits with Carts available: 1 I decided to keep a tally since management apparently appreciates my feedback. Maybe this will help them, if they really are looking to improve. This place was fine until bought by Extra Space Storage. It was inexpensive, so the chronic lack of moving carts was understandable. But my unit has almost doubled in price and insurance has tripled (no claims ever, >5 yrs renting). At the market rate, there should be carts available in every building. There never, ever are any. Other issues : the door on my unit doesn't open and shut properly, and the gate doesn't open reliably to let you out of the facility. Positive things: Tamika (office staff) is very friendly, personable, and helpful. She's great and even made a follow-up phone call to check on my move-out date. I’m moving out and it’s taking me a full month because I have to move everything without a cart, from the 2nd story.

The facility is clean and the staff friendly. I needed to replace the lock on my unit. Julio was very friendly and helpful. I was able to purchase a new lock and he removed the old one quickly. What I thought would be a long process, only took about 10 minutes.

Whenever I first got the storage they was telling me that it was only 170 something dollars and end up when my 30 days rollover. They start taking out of my account 220 30 some dollars every month and Dave was not the right people and whenever you do try to go and get some things taken care of you can’t even get the wheel thing to roll the stuff in and out the storage so I’m just trying to see why did they have me thinking? That I was only going to pay $170 but that was a lie. They would charge me a arm that in a league they charge me for July August, September and October. All of that money is definitely adds up and I need it right now it wasn’t fair so I’m definitely not going to write you with the stars and I hope this helps someone.

My experience with life storage has been amazing since the new site manager Desiree has been in charge. She's transformed this property from a 1 star to a five star location in a matter of weeks. When I first arrived, there was always trash everywhere from people dumping their unwanted property, rats and roaches which made me re evaluate where I wanted to store my property. However, now that Desiree is here, I can rest assure that things will be maintained. I recommend life storage to anyone seeking to securely store their property at a clean and orderly facility. Thank you Desiree for putting in so much effort and bringing this location back to respectable standards!!

I booked my storage unit online. However I had to go in during office hours to show my ID for them to confirm my address. Desireé had me in and out of there in about 5 minutes and it was the best 5 minutes of my day! She was so helpful! I requested to see the space, and she walked me over with no problem. She even gave me a few tips on how to maximize on space while putting away furniture! The prices are one of the best I’ve seen, and the customer service is excellent! She informed me how to access the gate and doors, & also informed me you’re able to enter your unit everyday from 6am-10pm! Definitely check out this location and ask for Desireé!

This review is now an update since the management has changed. Fortunately, their customer service and facility is still 5 stars only with some new names and faces. Tamekia and TJ assisted me with questions I have regarding my rental and Tamekia was exceptionally understanding of not only myself but of the facility she’s running as well. I feel totally accommodated and like I spoke with a friend who really had all the answers I needed. Again, I absolutely recommend this place. Reci has made renting a storage unit a total breeze! The buildings are well maintained, clean and have no odor, which indicates they're regularly maintenanced and the climate control is active and consistent (which is a big deal considering how many units they have). Signing up for my unit was easy and painless, and everything was explained and shown to me in detail. You can purchase a lock along with storage insurance through Life Storage, which I found affordable and better than the competitors or using my other insurance since it's specific to storage lockers. Their hours fit into any work schedule, which I really appreciate. Access is very secure as well and I feel confident my items are safe here. Not to mention, after shopping endlessly, they have the absolute best deals out there as far as space for your buck goes. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for outstanding customer service, safety, and budget friendly pricing.

As soon as you walk in, it smells like a petting zoo. (So, I Pray the smell is not in my clothes and Furniture when I move Out.) There are pest pellets from some animals. I've heard that they are rats. I wish more people were honest on their reviews before I decided to go with this storage facility. The prices of very High. After they lure you in, with a discounted promotion. When I've come to store things, people are complaining that their storage units have been Infested by rats, on multiple occasions, Damaging their items, etc. It definitely makes me regret moving everything into this facility. I've never had a problem like that before... It would be more of a inconvenience and a huge Cost, to get Movers to come back and move my Entire unit, to another facility. Since, I will be moving out soon, anyway...

This used to be a top notch storage facility the first few years of opening, but it's absolute garbage now. I moved my financees property out of a different storage place that had gone downhill and she used to be happy with this place but they too have fallen apart. There's literally garbage all over the halls and outside the building. We've contended with roaches in the past and other nuisances that the old management tried to remedy but it's just gotten worst since the new company took over. There obviously isn't enough staff to clean up after the dirty tenants that have been flocking in since the start of COVID, and I swear people must be living out of their units because I hear movement sometimes in a unit while the door is shut. The numerous occasions of rodent droppings have sent us over the edge and we just can't remain tenants here any longer.

My experience here with this storage was a bit frustrating but because of the workers (staff) Ms. Sherea and Ms Courtney things worked out . I rented a unit from this facility when it was Home Star Storage, never had a problem with billing. NOW - there was a 20% increase and 6 months later they increase in another 25%. I was told they were not going to increase my rent again from at least 1 year. In less than a year storage fee have increase 60%. That is fastest ways to lose a customer. What has made it worse, I have left 3 messages across a week with no return call.

This place is taking down reviews to avoid bad business. Do not rent storage unit here. Both buildings are infested with rats!!!! My unit was severely affected by the rats and nothing was done about it. Coperate states that it’s an infestation and they are all in the walls. I have personally seen a rat there myself. Please do not believe the recent fake 5 star reviews. They are bogus!

Started off when the Storage was owned by Homestar Storage and had zero issues. It was taken over by Storespace and recently ( 1 month ago ) I started seeing rodent droppings in my unit all over my items! Worker informed me that the building next door had an infestation but not the one my unit was in... however just a week ago i’ve seen a rodent droppings on the floor of the building that my unit is in. I have not been able to get in contact with anyone.. the building hours states 9am-5:30pm everyday I’ve came twice within those hours and the door was locked and no one was there. ( last week and this current week 3/28/22 ) I paid late on my unit and was charged a late fee which was understandable but it’s been over a week and there is still a lock on my unit. I cannot get in, no answer when I call as well as no one working there. I’ve paid money for a unit i cannot access. I cannot get in contact with anyone. No one is sending updates on what is going on.. it’s very frustrating.

Very disappointed that that Store Space Mableton decided to increase my unit space rent by 30% with little notice. Their reasoning was to be more competitive with other storage units. Will they lower my rent by 30% when others decrease theirs? I seriously doubt it. I’ve only used them for a few months and received a increase.

Update: I can no longer recommend this place. Store Space "took over management" and my rental price has increase 44% over the past 5 months. Housing has been hard enough to find, now this? There's no way their costs have gone up this much. It's straight price gouging. ___________________________________ Original review: I reserved a unit ahead of time as we were moving from out of state and need a storage unit for a few months. My moving truck was due a couple of days after my reservation date, but I kept in touch with Home Star and it was no problem. When we got here, Donna helped me set up everything - she was great! She's friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The place is clean, gates and doors work well with a personal code, the lock I have from a previous storage unit fits, and no problem getting an 18-wheeler moving truck in and out to unload my stuff. The only thing I would suggest is to have more carts. I found two but the handle had come off one, and there were a few other handles, likely off other carts, around the buildings. Fortunately there were only a couple other people who came needing a cart while we moved in, so we shared. Overall, very good experience.

After being told by another facility that it was first come first served even if I had a reservation, I googled and found Home Star. Thank heavens! The rate was much better and the unit was bigger and they included the first month free. You can't beat that. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the units are clean. It's gated with cameras so very safe.

Update: Price has increased significantly. I can't afford such a price, so I decided to move my stuff. Then, what started as hearing a rat chewing in the unit next to mine, became dead rats in my storage unit. I lost a lot of my stuff, bed, clothes, my art, etc. Precious things I wanted to keep safe in a climate controlled store space are now gone. What did I even pay all this money for, when I've lost my stuff? Old review was five stars because Miss Donna, who helped me, made my moving process so much less stressful! She was kind, funny, and patient with me! Thank you so much!

These guys were bought out and decided to increase the price from $46.00 to 78.00 calling it "a slight increase" and provided a terrible excuse for the gouge. Items just sit there, very little maintenance. When I have time, I'm changing storage providers. Please don't reply, I don't care to hear your excuse.

The BEST experience we’ve ever had with a storage facility and FANTASTIC customer service. Donna and Rodericka were incredibly friendly and kind. We just recently reserved a unit online and went to the facility to sign off on the unit’s paperwork. They made the process so quick and easy. The unit and facility are very nice and immaculately clean. And best of all, we got an amazing deal on the unit. Fees and insurance are the best around for a temp controlled unit. We highly recommend this company for your storage needs!

A year ago I rented this place and have had no issue, I wasn’t even bothered by the increase. I am bothered by the fact the my unit was broken into not by the door but by the open roof no less. Items are missing and broken. I called the “office “ which is now virtual meaning no one is ever there, to complain and file a claim …because I pay insurance. No answer no call back , but what they did do is make sure the took my auto draft from my account. I’ve never been late no caused a problem but to think I pay for a service where no one cares to even call you back is beyond me. DO NOT RENT HERE! It may be nicer, but other places have ppl you can talk to if there is an issue. They are onsite and the keep ppl FROM LIVING IN THE DARN UNITS.
